Holistic Individual and Couples Therapy FAQ

  • Payment is due at the time of service. You may pay with any major debit/credit card, FSA/HSA card. We also have limited scholarship spots.

Insurance is not accepted, however many of our clients pay with their HSA card or can be provided and Superbill if Selena is out of network with your plan. You will need to check with your insurance provider to see if you qualify for superbill reimbursement.

  • This is something we’ll figure out together! Some find that a few sessions to check in and learn some new tools is sufficient, others decide to be seen long term (over 20 sessions), and continue working on new goals as they arise. We’ll work together to figure out what feels right for you.

  • This will depend on many factors, but for most clients I like to see them every week for at least the first month to help us gain some momentum in reaching your goals. After that we can assess if continuing weekly, or dropping down to every other week, or even once a month could make more sense for you and your needs.

  • I offer both! I love seeing my clients in person, but understand life sometimes gets in the way. We’ll figure out what works best for you and your lifestyle. That may be coming in person, only being seen through telehealth, or a mixture of the two.

  • You must cancel within 48 hours of your session time, or you may be charged the full rate of your session. This allows us to offer the time slot to someone else who may want it.

We understand emergencies happen. You will be granted one free pass per year in the case of an emergency.

You can call or text 720-257-9041 or email at selena.mftc@gmail.com to cancel. We try to respect your time and ask the same in return. We appreciate your understanding with our cancellation policy.

  • Standard sessions are 50 minutes in length. Longer sessions are 80 minutes in length, and typically better suited for couples earlier into treatment. There’s a lot of ground to cover!
